My Bio

I am Ankur Patel, a modeling and simulation engineer with a passion for mechanics and education. I hold a PhD in Computational Mechanics from IIT Kanpur, where my research advanced the understanding of compression behavior in thin rod-like structures in solid mechanics.

My journey with mechanics began with a fascination for machines — cars, aircrafts, and spacecrafts — but I struggled with many concepts during my undergraduate years. Through self-learning in libraries and online, I transformed those struggles into clarity, which eventually sparked my love for teaching. During my Master’s, I discovered my ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms, and as an Assistant Professor, positive feedback from students confirmed that teaching was not just a skill, but a calling.

Over the past decade, I have taught and mentored undergraduate and postgraduate students across the globe through online platforms, tailoring my approach to their individual needs. I have worked with learners from diverse backgrounds, and their feedback reflects how much they valued the clarity, engagement, and mentorship in my teaching.

Today, I am extending this passion into a new journey of content creation. Through YouTube, structured courses on Thinkific, and one-on-one mentoring, I aim to build a global community of students and engineers who want to learn, practice, and grow in mechanics. My mission is simple: to make mechanics-oriented learning clear, engaging, and enjoyable — and to inspire learners worldwide to find joy in understanding.
